Job Overview: We are seeking a talented Business Analyst with a specialization in web analytics and customer segmentation. This role requires expertise in Python and SQL, along with a strong analytical mindset and exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing web data, segmenting customers, synthesizing insights, cleansing data, and presenting actionable recommendations to executive stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  1. Web Data Analysis:

  2. Collect, analyze, and interpret web data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.

  3. Develop and maintain analyses to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to website traffic, user behaviour, product pathing, and conversion rates.

  4. Customer Segmentation:

  5. Define and implement customer segmentation strategies based on demographic, behavioural, and transactional data.

  6. Collaborate with data science, marketing, and sales teams to identify target customer segments for personalized marketing campaigns.

  7. Continuously refine segmentation models to improve targeting accuracy and campaign effectiveness.

  8. Data Synthesis:

  9. Merge disparate data sources to create a unified view of customer behavior and preferences.

  10. Apply statistical techniques to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights.

  11. Identify correlations, causations, and predictive patterns to inform strategic decision-making.

  12. Data Cleansing:

  13. Assess data quality and consistency, and develop strategies for data cleansing and normalization.

  14. Implement data validation procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of analysis results.

  15. Work closely with MarTech, Web Analytics, and IT teams to resolve data quality issues and optimize data collection processes.

  16. Insights Presentation:

  17. Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate insights to executive stakeholders.

  18. Tailor insights to address specific business objectives and decision-making needs.

  19. Present findings in a compelling manner, highlighting actionable recommendations and potential business impact.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with a focus on customer segmentation and web analytics re: CPA, CPC, and ROAS.

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Hard Sciences or a related field preferred.

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a complex industry.
