TITLE: Consumer Show Sales Representative (Full-Time)


Responsible for exhibit and sponsorship sales for the Consumer Show Division. Contact with a core list of clients as well as prospective new clients. Position will be based at the company's headquarters in Lincolnshire, IL.


  • Responsible for achieving individual sales revenue goals by selling exhibit space to existing and prospective clients

  • Must develop new business strategies and meet goals associated with new business implementation

  • Demonstrates strong understanding of the outdoor recreation market and the industries it represents (RV, Fishing & outdoor sports)

  • Illustrates strong technical capabilities including: computer knowledge, billing systems, databases

  • Must be prepared to learn the EBMS software (events' software) and utilize it on a consistent basis

  • Make sales presentations as needed

  • Work with division president on developing sales strategies and adjust to market changes

  • Sell sponsorships to endemic and non-endemic prospects

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work some nights and weekends as required during the show season

  • Extensive travel required during the show season (January-March)

  • Demonstrate exemplary sales behavior by meeting company and industry criteria (product and industry knowledge, sales process & reporting)


  • Three (3) years direct sales experience minimum, preferably in the public shows sector

  • Ability to negotiate with a very demanding client base

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Prepare and present unique proposals to prospective sponsors

  • Previous experience in RV and outdoor sports OR media/exhibit sales

  • Team player and contributor

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/shows at one time

  • Creativity to adjust to market fluctuations

  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as required

  • Valid driver's license
