Job Title: Event and Experience Manager

Job Summary:

As an Event and Experience Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing various events and experiences focused on enhancing brand visibility and customer engagement. This role requires a versatile individual capable of both hands-on execution, strategic planning, with a strong emphasis on team management and relationship building with dealership teams. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel extensively to various event locations across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive event plans including logistics, timelines, budgets, and resources required.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of events.

  • Oversee setup, teardown, and onsite management of events, ensuring adherence to safety and brand standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events to ensure a positive experience for attendees.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for events and experiences, aligning with overall brand objectives and dealership goals.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and product teams, to ensure event strategies are integrated into broader brand initiatives.

  • Anticipate future industry developments and proactively adjust event plans and strategies to stay ahead of the curve.

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for expanding brand presence and driving customer engagement through events and experiences.

  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of event strategies and initiatives, leveraging data and feedback to refine approaches and improve outcomes.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the event team, encouraging new ideas and initiatives that enhance the overall event experience and drive business results.

Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with dealership teams to understand their needs and preferences.

  • Collaborate with dealership partners to align event strategies with their goals and objectives.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for dealership teams, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Travel:

  • Willingness to travel frequently to various event locations, including weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Coordinate travel logistics for yourself and the event team, ensuring timely arrival and departure for each event.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of proven experience in event management in a fast-paced, driven environment

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing and motivating teams.

  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. The height of event seasons would be 60-65% travel - must enjoy life on the road, ability to thrive with a flexible travel schedule and is comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, depending on the nature of the events.

  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job, including but not limited to moving or lifting equipment weighing up to 50-60 pounds, stand for long periods of time, ability to bend, lift, squat, reach with ease.

  • Obsessively detail oriented, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on quality and business efficiency.

  • Possesses excellent problem-solving and has the innate ability to react quickly to deviations in the event plans.

  • Natural forward planner who critically assesses their own performance.

  • Reliable, tolerant, and determined, comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines.

  • Must be self-motivated team player, professional, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong customer service skills with a commitment to superior quality.

  • Capacity to scope, manage, and execute more than one project simultaneously.

  • Proven ability of leading by example with positive attitude

  • Adapts well to new situations and challenges.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with dealership networks or industry partners.

  • Knowledge of experiential marketing principles and strategies.

  • Familiarity with budget management and financial reporting.

  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Certification in event planning or project management is a plus.
